UMD Xfinity Center

Delon Hampton & Associates (DHA) provided structural engineering design services for a new arena with a total seating capacity of 17,950 seats for collegiate basketball games. This 395,000 SF athletic facility was designed to blend with the campus’ architectural style and capture the intimacy of the existing Cole Field House. This student-friendly arena houses the Athletic Department, men’s and women’s basketball, wrestling, gymnastics, volleyball, and tennis. Formerly known as Comcast Center Arena, Xfinity Center also serves as a campus site for university special events and select community events.
