Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered, a minority-owned, professional consulting engineering services firm headquartered in Washington, DC, currently has an excellent opportunity for a talented Systems Integration Engineer.

The Systems Integration Manager I provides professional expertise in the oversight of FTA funded major capital transit projects. The Systems Integration Manager reviews project sponsors' system integration plans and supporting documentation to ensure that projects are being built safely, on budget, on schedule, within scope, and in conformance with applicable regulations and guidelines. Serves as a technical resource and subject matter expert in systems integration throughout transit projects.


  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Systems Engineering and Integration on major capital projects, with 3 of the 7 years as Systems Integration Manager in passenger rail or related transportation modes.
  • Must have a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Systems, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET Accredited Program.
  • Licensure as a Professional Engineer is required.
  • Experience with design and integration of signals, communication propulsion power systems and control center engineering is desired.
  • Experience evaluating and testing engine calibrations with software for real-time embedded systems using model based software development tools is desired.

Working Conditions 

Work is performed within a general office environment 75% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Field work is required 25% of the time where work may be conducted outside in one or more of the following conditions: heat or cold, wet or humid, and dry or arid. Must be able to work in confined spaces. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs.) may be required as needed.
