Structural Engineering Intern
The candidate selected for this position will work on a project team involving structural engineering and related technical assignments. Project assignments may include structural design and analysis, preparation of plans and specifications, report writing, cost estimating and construction inspection/observation.
Responsibilities
- Assist in performing basic structural engineering design;
- Input and retrieve data from design software; and
- Familiarity with word processing and spreadsheet software.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a BSCE program from an accredited engineering program;
- Basic knowledge of engineering fundamentals;
- Coursework in structural analysis, steel design and reinforced concrete design;
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills;
- Attitude of taking initiative, enthusiasm, and eagerness to learn.
- Familiarity with AutoCad/Revit and structural engineering analysis software such as STAAD Pro, RISA 3D, or MathCAD is a plus.
