Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered a minority-owned, professional consulting engineering services firm headquartered in Washington, DC, currently has an excellent opportunity for a talented and energetic, Aviation Portfolio Advisor.

The candidate will support PHL/PNE's overall Capital Development Program and the Deputy Director of Aviation.

Responsibilities:

  • Candidate will help drive performance, efficiency, and overall project delivery improvements at all stages, including programming, planning, design, construction and handover;
  • Demonstrate expertise in problem solving and anticipating the needs of the client, stakeholders and manage the client's expectations within the context of delivery realities;
  • Assist the deputy director in identifying, managing and overcoming risks to ensure successful delivery of the portfolio of projects;
  • Serve as the key link with the Capital Development Stakeholders, both internal to PHL (such as Properties/Revenue, Finance, and Operations) and external (Tinicum Township, City Departments such as OEO, Procurement, Controllers Office, etc.); and
  • Focus on portfolio management and reporting, project controls, project management, needs assessment and programming support, and coaching/mentoring staff.

Qualifications:

  • Ten (10+) years of capital project/infrastructure project management experience;
  • Five (5+) years of aviation experience;
  • Five (5+) years of experience in the supervision of staff;
  • Previous experience building and leading a diverse team;
  • Possess strong communications, interpersonal, leadership and managerial skills with an extensive background in building and leading a diverse team;
  • Broad technical experience, with an ability to see the full picture with projects and portfolio;
  • Good client management and goodwill building ability;
  • Effective time management and logical decision-making ability;
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, matrixed environment, and handle pressure that comes with this environment;
  • Strong focus on quality and ability to maintain good client relationships;
  • Strong communications, interpersonal, leadership and management skills;
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or Architect license is required; and
  • Vertical infrastructure is a plus.

New employees MUST be fully vaccinated prior to their start date. Fully vaccinated means two weeks have passed since the final dose of a primary vaccine series.
