Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered a minority-owned, professional consulting engineering services firm headquartered in Washington, DC, currently has an excellent opportunity for a talented and energetic, Scheduler.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare for track access needs based on analysis of work required and input from maintenance work group;
  • Prepare and present detailed work execution schedule (march charts/time-location diagrams);
  • Support work groups in determining needs and logistics for materials and equipment handling, storage, and staging;
  • Support assessment of work-around/contingency planning for major work events;
  • Support annual and long-term capital project planning;
  • Assist in the monitoring of project activities and emphasis on project delays, claims, change orders, and other factors which may influence the project schedules.
  • Analyze work performance against the anticipated schedule; and
  • Prepare and present findings of work performances, impacts, alterations, risk elements, and other criteria in a report format to members of the project team, stakeholders, members of the executive leadership team, and other outside agencies.

Qualifications: 

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited university, preferred;
  • A minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience in construction and/or communications systems (radio infrastructure) and the ability to evaluate and develop complex schedules;
  • A minimum of five (5) years of construction and/or engineering related experience, with an associate's degree or higher degree in a construction, construction management, or a related professional engineering field preferred;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Primavera 6 (P6);
  • Experience with Tilos and Procore is preferred;
  • The person must be able to work periodically in the field around operating equipment and have field/construction experience; and
  • Familiarity with client's standards and specifications.
