Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered a minority-owned, professional consulting engineering services firm headquartered in Washington, DC, currently has excellent opportunities for talented and energetic, Schedulers.

DHA is seeking planners and schedulers with rail experience to support wayside infrastructure projects. This includes monitoring and prioritizing condition assessment data, planning capital replacement work, planning major work related to passenger rail services. All schedulers must have a minimum of five (5) years of construction management, engineering associated with project management or construction management, or rail maintenance experience. Proficiency with Primavera 6 (P6), except for Scheduler-Major Outages where proficiency is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook). Good communication skills. Preferred: Experience related to large, complex rail and/or transit systems. An associate's degree or more advanced degree in Construction, Construction Management, or in a related field. Experience with TILOS scheduling software and Procore.

Master Scheduler:

  • Develop and maintain master track work schedules in Primavera;
  • Develop work processes to coordinate planning across all capital projects and offices requiring track access;
  • Coordinate the annual work planning process;
  • Develop and maintain Revenue Service Affecting (RSA) master schedules, including issuing rolling 90-day schedules for review with the Rail Senior Vice President, Department of Rail Services (RAIL), at the Track Rights meeting;
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and memoranda for executive and/or external audiences;
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence, memoranda, action lists, and related material for the Director.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience managing teams of schedulers and scheduling complex programs.

Scheduler - Track:

  • Develop and monitor trackwork, to include track related preventive maintenance programs;
  • Work with Track and Structures (TRST) and Track Engineering to understand work needs to develop prioritized schedules to ensure that the client completes planned work; and
  • Report progress against plans on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of construction, or engineering related, or rail maintenance experience; and
  • Experience related to transit rail, track and structures is preferred.

Scheduler - Traction Power:

  • Develop and monitor traction power maintenance work, primarily the cable meggering, stray current and corrosion testing, thermal-imagery programs and supporting Traction Power State of Good Repair;
  • Work with the Project Implementation and Construction and Infrastructure Rehabilitation (RBIR), Traction Power Operations Engineering (TPOE) and Traction Power Maintenance (TRPM) to understand work needs to develop prioritized schedules to ensure client completes work planned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience managing teams of schedulers and scheduling complex programs; and
  • Experience related to traction power and/or signaling systems is preferred.

Scheduler - Structures:

  • Develop and monitor structures work to include structural inspections, corrective maintenance operations, drain maintenance and leak mitigation, grout pad replacements, track bed cleaning, stray current remediation programs, and other structural repairs, as required;
  • Work with staff to understand work needs to develop prioritized schedules to ensure that client completes planned work; and
  • Report progress against plans on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.

Qualifications:

  • Experience related to transit rail, track, and structures is preferred.

Scheduler - Automatic Train Control:

  • Develop and monitor Automatic Train Control Maintenance (ATCM) work, primarily the Automatic Train Control (ATC) State of Good Repair project and key preventive maintenance and inspection programs;
  • Work with the Office of Signal Systems to understand work needs to be able to develop prioritized schedules to ensure client completes planned work; and
  • Report progress against plan on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with rail and signaling systems is preferred.

Scheduler - Major Outages (Platforms):

  • Develop detailed coordination schedules for major outages, including monitoring key pre-outage milestones and coordinating with other Department of Capital Delivery (CAPD) projects with multiple RSA events;
  • Report progress against plans on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis;
  • Prepare materials for major outages and other major CAPD projects and provide support at weekly work coordination meetings, including preparation of meeting notes;
  • Distribute coordinated work plans and equipment line-ups;
  • Prepare and update March Charts for major outages; and
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as required.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate both strategic high-level schedule information and detailed hourly information for key shifts;
  • Ability to work periodically in the field around operating/construction equipment;
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and information flows, analyze data, and develop reports and presentations;
  • Good listening and written communication skills are required; and
  • Experience with TILOS scheduling software is strongly preferred.

New employees MUST be fully vaccinated prior to their start date. Fully vaccinated means two weeks have passed since the final dose of a primary vaccine series.
