Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered a minority-owned, professional consulting engineering services firm headquartered in Washington, DC, currently has an excellent opportunity for a talented and energetic, Scheduler.

The major roles and responsibilities of the Scheduler include, but are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Support the project management staff with scheduling and coordination of the pre-construction, procurement, and construction activities;
  • Evaluate and provide critical analysis of project Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules, including, but not limited to, the review of contractor project baseline schedules, monthly progress schedules, weekly look-ahead schedules, time impact analysis, risk analysis, and tracking schedule conformance;
  • Assist in the monitoring of project activities, progress reporting, and payments;
  • Prepare and present a detailed work execution schedule;
  • Participating in Over-the-Shoulder (OTS) and constructability reviews as necessary;
  • Support the assessment of work-around/contingency planning for major work events; and
  • Perform other project-related duties as assigned by the Task Manager.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or in a related field is preferred (in lieu of a degree, a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in construction project scheduling of varying complexities including integrated master schedules);
  • A minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience in construction and/or transportation projects and the ability to evaluate and develop complex schedules (a minimum of two (2) years out of five shall be in the transportation industry);
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project) and Primavera 6 (P6);
  • Experience with Tilos and Procore is preferred;
  • Ability to work periodically in the field around operating equipment and have field/construction experience; and
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.

New employees MUST be fully vaccinated prior to their start date. Fully vaccinated means two weeks have passed since the final dose of a primary vaccine series.
