Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered a minority-owned, professional consulting engineering services firm headquartered in Washington, DC, currently has an excellent opportunity for a talented and energetic, Scheduler.

Responsibilities

  • Support the project management staff with scheduling and coordination of he pre-construction, procurement, and construction activities;
  • Evaluate and provide critical analysis of project CPM schedules, including, but not limited to, the review of contractor project baseline schedules, monthly progress schedules, weekly look-ahead schedules, time impact analysis, risk analysis, and tracking schedule conformance;
  • Assist in the monitoring of project activities, progress reporting, and payments;
  • Prepare and present detailed work execution schedule based on information provided by the DBB and DB Contractors;
  • Participate in Over the Shoulder (OTS) and constructability reviews as necessary;
  • Support assessment of work-around/contingency planning for major work events; and
  • Performs other project related duties as assigned by the client's Task Manager.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field involving scheduling of varying complexities including integrated master schedules;
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in construction project scheduling of varying complexities including integrated master schedules;
  • Additionally, a minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience in construction and/or transportation projects with the ability to evaluate and develop corresponding projects' complex schedules, including a minimum of two (2) years in the rail transit industry;
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Primavera 6 (P6) or equivalent;
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of Tools;
  • Ability to work periodically in the field around operating equipment and have field/construction experience;
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills; and
  • Experience with Procore is preferred.

Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general office environment 65% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Field work is required 35% where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs.) may be required as needed.
