Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered a minority-owned, professional consulting engineering services firm headquartered in Washington, DC, currently has an excellent opportunity for a talented and energetic, Scheduler.

Responsibilities

  • Support the client's project management staff with planning, scheduling and coordination of traction power and AC power contracts;
  • Update data in the ProCore system through direct input of contract related data or uploading data files;
  • Assist in the preparation of, evaluation and provide critical analysis of project CPM schedules, including, but not limited to, the review of contractor project baseline schedules, monthly progress schedules, weekly look-ahead schedules, time impact analysis, risk analysis, and tracking schedule conformance;
  • Assist in the monitoring of project activities, claims and change orders, progress reporting, payments, and other contract administration functions; and
  • Perform other project related duties as assigned by the client's Project Manager and/or Task Manager.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited university;
  • A minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience in construction and/or transportation projects and the ability to evaluate and develop complex schedules; a minimum of two (2) years out of five shall be in the transportation industry;
  • In lieu of degree, a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in construction project scheduling of varying complexities including integrated master schedules;
  • Familiarity with clients' construction standards;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Primavera 6 (P6).

Working Conditions 

Work is performed within a general office environment 90% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Field work may be required 10% of the time where work may be conducted outside in one or more of the following conditions: heat or cold, wet or humid, and dry or arid. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs.) may be required as needed.
