Quality Control Manager

Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered a minority-owned, professional consulting engineering services firm headquartered in Washington, DC, currently has an excellent opportunity for a talented and energetic, Quality Control Manager.


  • Enforce, monitor, and document the quality management and quality assurance practices of the contractors;
  • Establish and maintain a Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) system with the contractor and provide weekly update reports to the client’s project management team;
  • Coordinate with all prime contractors and the client’s project management team to verify that the most current contract documents and standards are being used (any deviations from these documents shall be reported to the client’s project management team for their disposition and direction);
  • Implement the required quality programs to ensure quality compliance;
  • Provide quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews;
  • Preparing and completing action plans;
  • Implementing production, quality, and customer-service standards;
  • Identifying and resolving problems;
  • Completing audits;
  • Determining system improvements; and
  • Implementing change.


  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field;
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in construction or transit quality management and/or assurance;
  • Extensive knowledge of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certification system; and
  • Successful completion of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10-hour Construction Course.
