Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered a minority-owned, professional consulting engineering services firm headquartered in Washington, DC, currently has an excellent opportunity for a talented and energetic, QA/QC Manager.

The major roles and responsibilities of the QA/QC Manager include, but are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, in collaboration with the Task Manager and/or designees, overall compliance with procedures identified in the project implementation manual and contracts;
  • Ensure the project quality plan is being implemented in the design, construction, and deployment processes and that adequate records are being maintained for every step;
  • Conduct quality assurance, configuration management (CM), and auditing;
  • Assist in the development of the new quality control and CM processes where needed in collaboration with the project team and client stakeholders;
  • Coordinate with the client's System Safety and Environmental Management (SAFE) office and provide necessary documentation as required;
  • Oversee and audit ongoing contracts to measure overall contract health through predetermined contract metrics;
  • Implement to client's standards, including as needed to meet Quality Assurance, Internal Compliance, and Oversight (QICO) audit requirements; and
  • Perform other project-related duties as assigned by the Task Manager.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, plus a minimum of seven (7) years demonstrable experience in quality control (a minimum of two (2) years out of five shall be in the transportation industry);
  • Demonstrated quality assurance experience on rail transit projects;
  • Knowledge of ISO-9000 quality standards and their application to planning, design, and construction;
  • Demonstrated experience in a QA/QC role in a fast-paced engineering environment;
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating safety documentation;
  • Ability to obtain OSHA 10-hour Construction certification;
  • Must be able to complete RWP certification class;
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills and strong technical writing skills; and
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel and Word) and Procore.

New employees MUST be fully vaccinated prior to their start date. Fully vaccinated means two weeks have passed since the final dose of a primary vaccine series.
