Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered a minority-owned, professional consulting engineering services firm headquartered in Washington, DC, currently has an excellent opportunity for a talented and energetic, Project Manager for Track Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Develop processes for time management, workflow, and accomplishment of submittals to manage the scope, schedule, and budget of the project
  • Manage individual project/task order performance
  • Analyze and recommend opportunities to create efficiencies and cost savings through improvements to fixed rail assets and/or components to improve rail service reliability, extend asset life and/or reduce maintenance costs
  • Create monthly reports for effective planning and decision making
  • Coordinate with potential contractors on the procurement of task orders
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence, memoranda, action lists and related material
  • Review project deliverables for quality and completeness

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in construction, business management, engineering, or related field
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in track engineering
  • A minimum of five (5) years of project or program management experience, including managing multiple projects of $100,000 or greater in contract value
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, is required
  • Ability to manage complex budgets and schedules
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks, analyze data, and provide detailed reports
  • Ability to coordinate with various stakeholders and give presentations to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to make smart decisions
  • Knowledge of working in government environment
  • Ability to pass a government background check
  • PMP certification or equivalent preferred
  • Professional engineering license (PE) is preferred
