Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered a minority-owned, professional consulting engineering services firm headquartered in Washington, DC, currently has an excellent opportunity for a talented and energetic, Project Manager.

DHA is seeking a civil engineer with environmental experience. The project manager shall provide the client with an on-call project manager with a comprehensive track of managing design, redesign, and construction/rehabilitation projects. The Environmental Project Manager shall possess progressive supervisory and managerial experiences. This position requires an effective team leader who can manage and coordinate multiple stakeholders, deliverables, and tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Candidate will review Capital Program initiatives related to environmental issues; and develop a work plan to manage design, redesign and construction/rehabilitation of project.
  • Operationalize all aspects of the developed program and manage all internal documentation related to the projects, contract deliverables, and correspondence throughout all phases of each project to ensure the success of the program.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or urban planning;
  • Minimum of 10 years of civil construction experience with at least five (5) of the 10 years in environmental-related design and construction management in the United States;
  • Experience with NEPA, and other environmental planning and permitting requirements;
  • Familiarity working within a railroad corridor, including familiarity with trackage rights, etc.;
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large construction projects;
  • Proficiency in developing and managing Project Management Plans, project schedules, and cost estimates;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (entire suite) and AutoCAD;
  • Professional Engineer license or AICP certification is preferred; and
  • Familiarity with project management software system (Procore) is desirable but not required.
