Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered a minority-owned, professional consulting engineering services firm headquartered in Washington, DC, currently has an excellent opportunity for a talented and energetic, Project Engineer.


  • Build tools and processes to enable data-driven decision making to achieve the core missions of Safety, Reliability, and Fiscal responsibility;
  • Analyze opportunities to create efficiencies, cost savings, and decision making; and
  • Prepare quarterly executive and board-level updates on initiatives and preventive maintenance programs to ensure transparency and accountability for the annual plan.


  • A minimum of five (5) years of project or program management or a Master's of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent with a minimum of three (3) years of experience to include managing multiple projects of $100K or greater contract value;
  • Experience with rail construction or maintenance;
  • Must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks, analyze data, coordinate with stakeholders, provide detailed reports, and give presentations to a variety of audiences;
  • Posses experience with PeopleSoft database or have the aptitude to learn within one month after award;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint);
  • Good communication skills are required; and
  • A bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, Business Management, or the equivalent is preferred.

New employees MUST be fully vaccinated prior to their start date. Fully vaccinated means two weeks have passed since the final dose of a primary vaccine series.
