Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered a minority-owned, professional consulting engineering services firm headquartered in Washington, DC, currently has an excellent opportunity for a talented and energetic, Pre-Construction Inspector.

DHA is seeking a Pre-Construction Inspector for major construction under DC Water's Clean Rivers Project. The potential start date is scheduled for October 2023.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre-construction surveys of existing facilities and fill out survey forms with supporting information (photos, videos, sketches, and other forms of inspection aids);
  • Maintain pre-construction survey database;
  • Reach out to property owners of existing facilities/residences as needed; and
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Five (5) to ten (10) years of related experience in field investigations, condition assessments, designs, and/or construction inspections;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Ability to work in fast-paced work environment;
  • Attention to detail is highly necessary; and
  • Must be able to juggle a variety of tasks, deadlines, changing circumstances, and priorities.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed within a general office/home office environment 20% of the time. Work requires frequent walking of project sites. Field work is required 80% where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs.) may be required as needed.
