Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered a minority-owned, professional consulting engineering services firm headquartered in Washington, DC, currently has an excellent opportunity for a talented and energetic, Office Engineer - Field Support/Coordination.


  • Maintain full familiarity with plans, specifications, construction schedules, and contractor's plans on assigned contracts, the PMP, and current safety regulations in order to be knowledgeable of the project team responsibilities, disseminating such information to office and field staff as required to keep client's personnel accurately informed of relevant matters;
  • Coordinate with other departments for project support;
  • Review and submit Site-Specific Work Plans (SSWP) and General Orders and Track Rights (GOTRs) requests for track support;
  • Assist construction inspectors and contractor representatives in the interpretation or clarification of contract drawings and specifications; and
  • Perform other project-related duties as assigned by the Task Manager.


  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred (in lieu of a degree, a minimum of seven (7) years of work experience in a related field, of which two (2) years shall be in the transportation industry);
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in teams involved in the design, construction, or major repair/rehabilitation of infrastructure projects;
  • Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced engineering environment;
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills and strong technical writing skills; and
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Procore.

New employees MUST be fully vaccinated prior to their start date. Fully vaccinated means two weeks have passed since the final dose of a primary vaccine series.
