Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered a minority-owned, professional consulting engineering services firm headquartered in Washington, DC, currently has an excellent opportunity for a talented and energetic, Office Engineer.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the flow and storage of all project documentation (correspondence, contracts, construction documents, engineering, schedules) between project operations, engineering disciplines, construction teams, and other related support groups;
  • Plan, organize, and implement systems for efficient document processing for all communications, Contractor documents, design documents, construction documents or other internal or external documents;
  • Assist with scheduling and controlling installation and maintenance efforts;
  • Coordinate with procurement, warehouse personnel, technicians and managers, and Task Manager to provide technical assistance as required;
  • Ensure that all equipment and material received under the contract and through direct purchase are inspected, documented, certified, and invoiced; and
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the client's Task Manager and/or Materials Manager.

Qualifications: 

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited university is preferred. In lieu of a degree, commensurate experience shall be considered;
  • A minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience of prior document control;
  • Knowledge of both the work processes of document control and the use of electronic systems used to manage documentation;
  • Detail-oriented professional with strong organization and people skills;
  • Working knowledge of MS Windows and related word processing, spreadsheet, and database software;
  • Working knowledge of electronic document management systems, including Procore;
  • Ability to interact effectively with project personnel and management;
  • Knowledge of, or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of document management practices and principles; and
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
