Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered is currently looking for a Proposal Coordinator to join our team in Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD. The right candidate will work within the Business Development Team, under the direction of the Strategic Pursuits & Marketing lead.


  • Candidate will work both independently and collaboratively in creating high-quality marketing materials and lead the production and assembly of proposals, qualification packages, and general collateral. This candidate will be responsible for the organization and maintenance of marketing materials and the coordination of other typical marketing related initiatives. The Proposal Coordinator will also manage the CRM database.
  • Assist with the proposal development process from beginning to end, specifically tailoring materials according to each RFP/RFQ's requirements.
  • Coordinate and assist in the implementation and maintenance of the database.
  • Use Adobe InDesign to assist in creating high-quality marketing materials, including proposals, qualification packages, case studies, award submittals, leave-behinds, and collateral.
  • Edit documents for grammar, style, and content. Strong written and editorial skills required.
  • Coordinate design, production, and delivery of final documents.
  • Assist in the preparation of short-list interview presentations.
  • Assist with day-to-day marketing department tasks and functions.
  • Produce additional marketing communications such as flyers, brochures, and exhibition-related projects.
  • Attend conferences in the education (K-12 and College/University) and mixed-use development market sectors.
  • Assist in assembling, coordinating, and maintaining content for website and social media.
  • Conduct research and update project description sheets.
  • Update employee master and market-specific resumes throughout the year and during the annual review.
  • Provide general administrative support as necessary.
  • Will be required to travel to our offices in Baltimore, MD during heavy proposal development and Silver Spring, MD for some meetings.


  • Experience producing marketing support materials, independently as well as within a team, for both print and electronic formats.
  • Some experience managing website content preferred.
  • Some experience (or an interest) in building and maintaining a marketing database; familiarity with CRM programs a plus.
  • Ability to self-manage project assignments efficiently from start to finish and with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and remain calm under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Computer skills in Acrobat, MS Office (especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) required; InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop desired.
  • Associates or Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Graphics.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience; 5+ years, should have Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM), APMP Foundation Certification, or Shipley Business Development training.
  • Driver's License required for meeting attendance, proposal/qualification submissions, and special event attendance/participation.
