DHA is seeking a civil engineer with green infrastructure experience for an ongoing multi-year program management contract. The projects vary from waste water advanced treatment design to green infrastructure projects that support CSO control efforts.

‍Responsibilities:

• Support design, construction, inspection, turnover, and operation of various facilities to support the completion of the DC Water projects.
• Assist in the preparation of studies, design documents, design review, contract estimation, and other efforts involved in the delivery of multiple projects to support DC Water.‍

Qualifications:

• Candidate must possess a degree in Civil Engineering;
• Five (5) to Fifteen (15) years of civil engineering design experience;
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required;
• Experience in design of sustainable urban stormwater best management practices and Green Infrastructure;
• Familiarity and understanding of the DC Water Green Infrastructure standards and design is preferred; and
• Familiarity with the construction industry project management, and scheduling, CAD/BIM/graphic software as well as Microsoft office programs are required.

New employees MUST be fully vaccinated prior to their start date. Fully vaccinated means two weeks have passed since the final dose of a primary vaccine series.

Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general office environment about 90% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Field work is required about 10% of the time where work may be conducted outside in one or more of the following conditions: heat or cold, wet or humid, and dry or arid. Must be able to work in confined spaces. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs.) may be required as needed.
