Delon Hampton & Associates is seeking an Engineer to serve on a new contract with the City of Baltimore Public Works.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review engineering plans, designs, specifications and cost estimates.
  • Work of this class may involve overseeing the work of drafting, sub-professional engineering and other personnel.
  • Prepare design computations and quantity estimates.
  • Assist in client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
  • Assist in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, permits and designs for projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • 1 - 5 years of experience in engineering
  • Engineering-In-Training (EIT) certification is desired.
  • Computer proficient, especially using construction management software.
  • Familiarity with the City of Baltimore Public Works regulations is preferred.

Working Conditions 

Work a conventional workweek; some evening and weekend hours may be required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally work in outside weather conditions for brief assignments. The noise level in the office work environment is usually moderate. Work requires minimum physical exertion.
