The Construction Manager will manage and supervise all construction activities under the Tunnel Grouting Program. This position requires an effective team leader who works cooperatively to deliver the program on-time and on-budget. Candidate will develop the construction solicitation packages for bidding. Coordinate the work with all contractors and ensure all program deliverables conform with the technical specifications. Document contractor's work progress daily. Review contractual documents and contract modifications. Also provide technical and cost analysis support and review all requests.
Work is performed within a general office environment 20% of the time. Ability to work in confined spaces. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Field work is required 80% of the time where work may be conducted outside in one or more of the following conditions: heat or cold, wet or humid, and dry or arid. Must be able to work in confined spaces. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs.) may be required as needed. Work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
