Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered a minority owned, professional consulting engineering services firm headquartered in Washington, DC currently has an excellent opportunity for a talented and energetic Construction Inspector.

(Full-time position located at the Client's Worksite)

SALARY RANGE
$45 to $60 per hour

This position is assigned to the Rock Creek Green Infrastructure Project C, which includes approximately 60 permeable alleys in the Piney Branch sewer shed. The project is expected to run from January 2025 through January 2027.


Responsibilities

  • Performing required construction inspections and field testing;
  • Completing daily field reports and other progress reporting;
  • Tracking the contractor's quantities of work performed;
  • Attending and documenting progress meetings and other meetings;
  • Reviewing contractor's monthly progress update schedules;
  • Reviewing submittals and RFIs; and
  • Tracking resolution of deficiencies noted in reports.


Qualifications

  • A minimum of seven (7) seven years of experience as a Field Inspector;
  • Familiarity with Primavera Unifier or other web-based construction management software;
  • Experience working on roadways in the District of Columbia; and
  • Experience in green infrastructure, stormwater, sewer or other utility construction inspection and field testing.

Working Conditions
Work is primarily conducted in a general office environment nearly 10% of the time. Field work is required 90% where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 50 lbs.) may be required as needed.
