Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered a minority-owned, professional consulting engineering services firm headquartered in Washington, DC, currently has excellent opportunities for talented and energetic, Construction Inspectors.

The Construction Inspectors we seek are civil, electrical, tunnel, mechanical, commissioning, etc to perform on-site inspection services for facilities, roadway, rail, track work, etc. related to transit projects in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for monitoring the work of contractors to ensure quality control and contractor compliance for rail/transit track work and traction power systems, cable installation, switches, construction projects under the direction of a Construction Manager or Project Engineer
  • Inspect and monitor assigned field work activities on a project to ensure conformance to plans, specifications, and other contract documents
  • Coordinate work and inspections with contractor's representatives
  • Check lines, grades, dimensions and elevations using standard surveying and field measuring equipment

Qualifications

  • High school + five years of full-time experience as a construction inspector.
  • Strong construction inspection experience with an emphasis on rail/transit and tunnel work
  • Proven expertise inspecting primarily in a rail/transit environment
