We are looking to hire a CAD/BIM Operator with transit/transportation experience to work with our transit partners.

The CAD Operator will draft detailed drawings for our rail/transit practice. Candidate's responsibilities include understanding written and verbal instructions, drafting technical drawings and blueprints, implementing feedback from engineers and architects, visiting sites, and keeping up-to-date with CAD software. Candidate should be able to explain technical aspects clearly to both the team and the client.

Responsibilities 

• Interpreting project briefs and meeting with clients, engineers, and architects to ensure all blueprints and technical drawings are completed to specifications.
• Produce rough sketches and use CAD software to prepare detailed drawings, plans, and blueprints.
• Visit sites to gather information, and determine limitations and feasibility of designs.
• Update software, drawings, and other documents.
• Remain professional when feedback is delivered, and implement any changes to drafts as soon as possible.
• Ensure drawings are compliant with building regulations and engineering principles.
• Communicate potential design issues to engineers and architects.
• Conduct research when required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Associate’s degree in Drafting or similar engineering technology.
• Certification in AutoCAD/Revit software.
• At least five (5)years of experience working with AutoCAD and Revit software.
• Experience working on transit/transportation projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of engineering and construction principles.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
